On the Pier
278/350
Unknown
A view of a pier on an unpopulated beach gives a sense of a isolation, ideal for the concentrated tasks of boat repairing.
This etching is hand coloured. The colours are very low-key in a delicate range of neutrals - beiges and greys, contrasting with a fresh robins-egg blue of the sky. Everything of this image is in harmony. A balance of warm and cool.
The title on the etching is illegible is a perfect matches for this print to a few found online as "On the Pier", while on the etching, it does not match. This record uses the "On the Pier" until the name can be clarified.
