Tidal Stream Recession
1/1 monotype
2006
The tidal stream ebbs and flows with the changes in water level, rippling the strands of seaweed into fluid forms. The sun plays along the sands, rocks and tiny creatures living among chaotic netting, resulting in sparkling changes of colour as it reflects the constantly moving water.
There are three of these monotypes in the CAPF collection, each with colouring added to the basic print, changing the tonal arrangements and compositional focal point.
The simple white frame allows the viewer to concentrate on the image.
Inscription on lower right front indicates that the work was created in 2002, and further work was done on the image in 2006.
