Description
Ancient Greek oil lamp replica, modelled after a Greek statue of a sphinx, with the head and breasts of a female, the wings of an eagle, and the body of a lion. This is a museum replica. Cast in plaster with added patina of green and gold, to make the lamp look like aged bronze. The replica is sitting on a gray rectangular plinth. Inspired by archaeological exhibits in Greek museums and sites.
Details
This tiny statue lamp is extremely light and delicate.
The plinth is believed to be plaster or slate, but has not been confirmed.
